  • What level of experience is necessary?

We have streamed Ballet classes running alongside each other every morning which cater to different levels of experience and the same goes for the Contemporary technique classes as well. In the application process we look at the dancer’s experience across all genres not just in exam results and a thirst for new and challenging experiences is a must as the week is intense and full of fun too!

  • Do I need experience of Pointe work?

The pointe work classes are streamed and individual attention given. If the applicant has never done pointe work before there is still much to be gained experiencing the class on 3/4 pointe, the classes will help set up those who have not yet experienced pointe work and give them an insight into what is required. We would not ask anyone attending to go en pointe for the first time as we are not able to assess the dancer far enough in advance.

  • Do you provide accommodation?

Not at present, however there is plenty of accommodation in the area and the studios are within walking distance of the Underground, Main Line Stations and Bus Stops.

  • Do you except students from abroad?

Yes. All are welcome, we have had students from far and wide including – Spain, Italy, Norway, Ireland, Austria, Holland and Israel but to name a few.

  • Do you require a specific uniform?

We ask that all students are appropriately attired for their respective classes. Girls – leotard (any colour or style), pink tights and ballet shoes for ballet, leotard and tights, or a unitard and bare feet for contemporary. Boys – leotard and tights or unitard and ballet shoes for ballet and contemporary

  • When is the official deadline to apply?

The deadline for applications is the 1st July, however we assess each application as they come in and respond to the applicant within a week, so once all spaces are taken we would be unable to accept anymore.

  • What type of photos and footage are required?

Please send any dance footage or photo that you feel shows you off to the best of your ability, no matter what space you are in. We ask for these images as it gives us an idea of how you embody the space, your inner line and how you portray yourself as a dancer. If your application is successful it will help us know which classes to put you in, etc. If sending footage, no longer that a couple of minutes is fine.
